The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), in collaboration with MIT Solve, IE University, and Women of Wearables, is launching the Equalizer Challenge 2025. This initiative aims to support women-led enterprises in scaling innovative solutions that address critical gaps in women’s health.
💡 What the Challenge Offers
- Equity-Free Funding: Up to $20,000 for selected innovations.
- Capacity Building: A 6-month program featuring biweekly coaching, expert mentorship, and access to global health and investment networks.
- Intellectual Property: Innovators retain full ownership of their solutions.
🎯 Focus Areas
Innovations should address pressing women’s health issues, including but not limited to:
- Cervical and breast cancer detection
- Menopause care
- Infertility treatment
- Digital health platforms
- Personalized medicine
- Medical devices tailored for women’s health
✅ Eligibility Criteria
- Women-Led Enterprises: Must be registered and operating in UNFPA program countries.
- Minimum Viable Product (MVP): A working prototype with proof of ownership.
- Language: Application must be submitted in English.
- Commitment: Willingness to engage fully in the 6-month virtual program.
