
Empowering Internet Professionals: Apply Now for the 2025 Peering Fellowship!
Opportunity Gateway (OG) is excited to announce the Internet Society Peering Fellowship Program 2025, a fully funded six-month initiative designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals in the field of Internet interconnection and peering. This program aims to support individuals committed to making Internet access more affordable, reliable, and resilient by improving local interconnection infrastructure and advocating for enabling policy environments.
Program Overview
- Duration: 6 months (June – November 2025)
- Format: Hybrid (Virtual sessions and in-person peering event)
- Funding: Fully Funded
- Application Deadline: 2 May 2025

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be actively engaged in Internet policy, business, or technical development related to peering and transit
- Reside in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), or Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions
- Possess a valid passport (valid until at least: Africa – February 2026; LAC – April 2026; APAC – June 2026)
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Internet industry
- Be available to attend one of the following events:
- AfPIF: 19–21 August 2025, Nigeria
- LACNOG: 6–10 October 2025, Location TBC
- Peering Asia: 4–6 November 2025, Philippines
- Commit approximately 4 hours per week to the program
- Have reliable broadband Internet access and necessary devices
- Be proficient in English (program conducted in English)
